As the visionary Founder and CEO of Empowered Insights, Adam Simon has been at the forefront of electronic monitoring evolution for nearly two decades. His passion for utilising technology to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of correctional agencies marked the beginning of his journey in this dynamic field in 2006.

Professional Achievements:
- Successfully directed progressive shift in operational methodology from basic monitoring to focused intelligence & compliance monitoring systems, introducing practices such as near real-time monitoring for high-risk offenders and terrorism-related offenders on EM
- Authored and delivered the first electronic monitoring training program with competencies in line with Certificate III in Correctional Practice, validated by the Australian Skills and Qualification Authority (ASQA). The program was reviewed and endorsed by Standards Australia in 2019.
- Worked with stakeholders to steer the strategic development & implementation of Domestic Violence Electronic Monitoring Pilot Program & launch in November 2017.
- Identified historical offender data collections capabilities for use in contemporary intelligence analysis review and presented to the National Emerging Technologies Working Group
- Co-ordinated and hosted the annual National Electronic Monitoring Working Group conference in Sydney in 2018 and 2019, drawing specialists from throughout Australia and New Zealand.
- Awarded Assistant Commissioners Commendation in December 2018
- Requested by the CSNSW Commissioner to represent Australia and New Zealand corrections at the meeting hosted by the International Corrections and Prisons Association (ICPA) in Brussels, Belgium, with a view to developing future standards for electronic monitoring instruments.
